Garden Fairies

Throughout Britain’s history, Pagan beliefs have been perverted, demonised or simply forgotten. We have turned our backs on beliefs such as the Green Man, a figure that symbolised the importance and power of nature. Recently, Mother Nature has been less than gently reminding us, that our ancestors were right to respect her.

We believe that the same is true of garden fairies and fairy folk. Fairies have throughout history fascinated and captured the imagination of both believers and non-believers, but does it really matter if they exist or not? We believe it does, as the essence of their existence, their very reason for existing, is even more relevant in the modern world. Fairies represent all that is good in nature; they nurture plants and animals, and participate in the dance of life with a spring in their step and a smile. Quite simply, that is the true ‘magic’ of fairies, a lesson not lost on our ancestors.
