Lesser Spotted Woodpecker On Acorns Figurine by Country Artists
This superb lesser spotted woodpecker figurine is hand painted and hand crafted by Country Artists. The ornament hails from the lovely Broadway Birds collection and is presented on a wooden base. The piece is titled Lesser Spotted Woodpecker on Acorns and depicts this beautiful bird flexing its wings, perched above a pair of fallen acorns. This bird is the smallest of Britain’s resident woodpeckers and the least common; it’s often confused with the very similar looking great spotted woodpecker. This particular model is of the male bird, distinguishable by its bright red crown and inability to ‘multi task’.
The woodpecker figurine and acorns are both made of durable resin and detailed to Country Artists very high standards. The collector number is 03654.
